The statement of Tetiana Yablonska is retained in the memory: "Everything the artist paints, even if he is not a great one, is much more interesting than the judgements of the most clever art critics. Still it is a primary source." It seems to be true and thus our aim is to hear the artist.
But the world of creative work is such a fine network with complex pattern, pierced through in different proportions by talent, ambitions and originality. It is divided into "our people" and "the strangers", into "the first" and … the word "last" cannot be used (and not only in art), it is for the Time or Chance to decide.
It also happens that "connoisseurs of painting" have already estimated almost every artist and almost every painting and have them drawn up according to height… These traders-experts are in minority but to a certain extent they have influence. One would like to be not far from the level of real connoisseurs or close to your own subconsciousness, which is the best way to understand the language of painting.
In any case we are frankly thankful to all the painters of Transcarpathia. It has been an extraordinary time – the months of work on the project. It has been an intercourse with intellectuals, philosophers, originals and, possibly, geniuses … (not so easy to utter this word).
After all it is unexpected, symbolic and very beautiful that the first number of the "Zakarpattia" magazine is entirely dedicated to art.
Special gratitude to Z. Raschdorf and L. Kononovych who aspire to show to somebody else the Beautiful they have seen.
