ARTISTIC PROJECT and CATALOGUE "Fall-summer mutations" : "Dreams about the Dresden gallery" E. Matveev / Y. Novikov"

My meeting with the first President of Ukraine - Leonid Kravchuk

In this catalog "ArtVistaClub" and "NewMat assault artgroupe" we have honor to present you 21 artworks of well-known Ukrainian artists Evgeniy Matveev and Yury Novikov from a cycle "Dreams about the Dresden gallery". All works are performed in unique author's technique in 2005. In 1982 artists have visited the famous Dresden art gallery, and 23 years later, on the basis of memoirs of it, they got an idea of a cycle of artworks in form of some original conversation on art with old masters. The whole cycle is created as night dreams and thus compositions, a plastics, coloristic and, even the fact that this or that artwork is related to the Dresden gallery are bound in original phantasmagoria of feelings and suggestions.

While the thorough analysis of co-author artworks of Matveev and Novikov one can notice the numerous citations of the famous artists of the ХІХ-ХХth century. In an outline of artworks the different styles and art tendencies make some integrated intarsia. Kandinsky, Malevich, Duchamp, Picasso, Dali, Warhol, Dongen, Pollock, Rauschenberg, Gauguin, Monet, Van Gogh and many other outstanding masters appears in complicated twisted forms and colors, creating an unusual, almost mystical harmony.

The catalog is published with support of art criticism analysis by Oleg Sidora-Gibelinda who has been admitted the best art critic of Ukraine in 2004. Avanguard style of Sidora-Gibelinda is not that easy to interpret, but it represents in a very unusual and emotional way the principles of creating the cycle "Dreams about the Dresden gallery" and its internal essence. Should you wish to follow deeply this unusual text you will be surprised by its unordinary art criticism ideas. However the artworks of Matveev and Novikov perfectly represent themselves.

The artists EXPRESS their sincere gratitude to immortal old masters and, of course, to remarkable Dresden art gallery for the pleasure of conversation with outstanding masterpieces of world grand art.

The special gratitude is to Mr. Sergey Tsiupko, the management and specialists of Berlin Capital Club, and Mr. Sieghard Raschdorf.
